Description

An established manufacturing company based in Birmingham requires an experienced CNC Miller Programmer/Setter.

The company  presently have 11 XYZ milling machines (VMCs), both 3 and 4 Axis. 

Duties:

  • Working in a precision manufacturing machine shop environment working from 2D engineer drawings to machine a range of materials including various grades of brass and stainless steel.
  • Programming, setting, and operating milling machines. (Ideally experience of working on XYZ machines with Siemen’s control)

Requirements:

  • Experience in CNC milling – programming, setting and operating,
  • Able to read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • Good IT skills.
  • Ideally apprentice trained, a time-served machinist with NVQ or City & Guilds level 3 in a relevant engineering discipline.

Hours:

  • 7.30am to 4.30pm Monday to Thursday and 7.30am to 12.30pm Friday.
  • Weekend overtime may be available.

This is a permanent position that starts immediately.
